Santa Barbara Futsal (SBF), an organization sanctioned by the US Futsal Federation (USFF), is dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for young & adult players to develop their Futsal skills. Coaching staff is under the guidance of Silverio Da Silva, a Brazilian native who has played professionally and coached for many years in the United States and Jean Paul Verhees of the Netherlands current Director of Coaching of Realsb soccer club. They work together to bring you the finest in soccer training for developing players.
Santa Barbara Futsal is currently developing its structure creating an academy and a league for young and adult players open to male & female. We encourage teams to register as well as individual players.
§ Locations: St. Mary’s Seminary gym & Notre Dame School in Santa Barbara § Date & Time: Tuesdays & Wednesdays - 5:30 to 8 :30 PM / Saturdays - 8:30 to 12:30 PM § Open to ages 6 and up - Male & Female § Wear: shirts, shorts, socks, shin-guards and footwear with rubber soles § Please call to schedule your team or as an individual player Santa Barbara Futsal uses a low bounce futsal ball, which provides players with more touches and helps them improve their skills. The focus is on increasing player's confidence and technical ability to dribble, pass and ball control. Futsal is the only "Official Form of Indoor Soccer" approved by FIFA. It is played on all the continents of the world in over 100 countries by more than 12 million players.
